We want everyone to be able to book a chef, whatever device or assistive technology they use.
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. That is the benchmark most widely referenced in accessibility law, and it is the target we design and build against.
The site uses proper heading structure and landmarks so screen readers can navigate it. Every form field has a visible, associated label. Images that carry meaning have alternative text. Colour contrast between text and background is checked against the AA thresholds. The whole site works by keyboard, with a visible focus indicator, and nothing depends on a mouse or on hover. Text reflows without horizontal scrolling on small screens, and form inputs are sized so mobile browsers do not force a zoom. Nothing on the site flashes or auto-plays.
This is a new site and we have not yet had it audited by an independent accessibility specialist. We plan to. Emoji are used decoratively in a few places and may be announced oddly by some screen readers. If you find something we have missed, we would rather hear about it than not.
