What you are agreeing to when you give us your mobile number, and how to stop messages at any time.
BookedChef.com sends text messages to people who have asked us to find them a private chef. Messages relate to your own enquiry: confirming we received it, letting you know a chef is trying to reach you, following up if we could not reach you by phone, and answering your questions.
You opt in by ticking the consent box on our request form, or by telling us on a call that we may text you. The box is not pre-ticked, and consent to receive messages is not a condition of purchase — you can ask us to contact you only by email or only by phone and we will still help you.
The exact wording you agree to on the form is: "I agree that BookedChef.com and my chef may contact me by phone call, AI-assisted call, and text at the number provided about my request, on a recorded line. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Msg & data rates may apply." We store that wording with the date and time you agreed to it.
Message frequency varies and depends on your enquiry. Most people receive fewer than five messages per request. We do not send recurring marketing broadcasts.

Reply STOP to any message and we will stop texting that number. You will receive one confirmation message and nothing after that. You can also email hello@bookedchef.com or tell us on a call.

Opting out of texts does not opt you out of phone calls or email. Tell us if you want those to stop too.
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery is not guaranteed and depends on your network and handset.
We share your enquiry, including your phone number, with private chefs in your area so they can contact you about it — that is what you have asked us to do, and those chefs may call or text you. We do not sell your mobile number, and we do not share it with any third party for that third party's own marketing. Consent given to us is not transferred to unrelated companies.
You must be at least 18 and the subscriber or customary user of the mobile number you give us. If you change or give up your number, tell us, so that messages meant for you do not reach someone else.
