A plain description of what this site stores on your device and how to switch it off.
A cookie is a small text file a website asks your browser to keep. Similar technologies — local storage, tracking pixels and tags — do much the same job. We use the word "cookies" below to cover all of them.
Strictly necessary. A small number of items needed for the site to work at all: keeping your form entries during your visit, and security protections against automated abuse. These cannot be switched off without breaking the site, and they do not track you across other websites.
Analytics. We measure which pages people read and which ones lead to an enquiry, so we can improve them. This tells us patterns, not identities.
Advertising. When we run search and social advertising, the advertising platforms set cookies so they can tell which advert led to an enquiry, and so we are not paying to show adverts to people who have already contacted us. We also capture click identifiers passed in the web address, such as Google's click identifier, and store them with your enquiry for the same reason.
We do not use cookies to build a profile of your interests for anyone else, and we do not allow third parties to use our site to collect information for their own unrelated advertising.
Every major browser lets you block or delete cookies — look under Settings, then Privacy. Blocking all cookies will stop parts of this site working properly. You can also opt out of personalised advertising in your Google and Meta account settings, and most browsers offer a "Do Not Track" or global privacy signal that we honour where the law requires it.
As we switch analytics and advertising on, this page will be updated to name each provider and its purpose. If we introduce anything that requires your prior consent, we will ask for it before it runs.
For the wider picture of what we collect and who we share it with, see our Privacy Policy.
